Position Summary

The System Vice President, Revenue Cycle (SVP), provides strategic and operational leadership for the full revenue cycle across Billings Clinic – Logan Health, ensuring systemwide alignment, efficiency, and excellence in both financial performance and patient experience. This position reports directly to the System Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and partners closely with entity and affiliate CFOs and operational leaders to collaboratively design and sustain a unified approach to revenue cycle stewardship.

This position oversees the full continuum of revenue cycle functions, including patient access, registration, health information management (HIM), coding, billing, collections, reimbursement, and patient financial services across the integrated system. The incumbent partners with executive leadership, clinical and operational teams, and regional affiliates to design and execute a unified strategy that promotes fiscal responsibility, regulatory compliance, operational standardization, and compassionate financial care.

This role requires a forward-thinking, results-driven executive with deep expertise in healthcare finance, technology integration, and performance improvement. As a key member of the leadership team, this role fosters collaboration and innovation across Billings Clinic – Logan Health, advancing a culture of accountability, integrity, and service excellence aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities
The System Vice President Revenue Cycle is responsible for the following:
Strategic Leadership and Integration
  • Reports to the System Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and partners closely with entity and affiliate CFOs and senior leaders to ensure alignment of revenue cycle strategy and performance across the integrated system.
  • Develops and provides final decisions on strategic plans and objectives for the revenue cycle division, ensuring alignment with system mission, values, and organizational goals.
  • Encourages innovation and continuous improvement, working with complex variables and enterprise-wide considerations.
  • Partners with executive leadership, entity CFOs, affiliate leaders, and clinical/operational teams to align strategy across the system.
  • Provides strategic oversight for operating and capital budgets, division performance, sustainability, and long-term financial outcomes.
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry, the system’s financial strategies, and their interdependencies across all business units.
  • Serves as the final decision-maker for policies impacting the revenue cycle across the system.
Operational Oversight
  • Directs and integrates revenue cycle operations across all entities, including patient access, HIM, billing, collections, and denial management.
  • Establishes systemwide performance standards and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Leads operational transformation efforts, applying Lean principles and best practices to drive workflow optimization, accuracy, and service excellence.
Financial Performance and Revenue Integrity
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and audit requirements.
  • Partners with department leaders and entity CFOs to ensure accurate and compliant charge capture practices, pricing methodology, and revenue integrity efforts systemwide.
  • Utilizes analytics, forecasting, and financial modelling to optimize net revenue and reduce avoidable financial loss.
  • Collaborates with Managed Care, Legal, and Compliance functions to support contracting, regulatory adherence, and payer relations.
  • Responsible for divisional budget management and financial outcomes.
Technology and Data Optimization
  • Provides executive leadership for revenue cycle technology, including Oracle Health and associated financial platforms.
  • Partners with Information Technology and Analytics to drive interoperability, automation, efficiency, and accurate billing workflows.
  • Leverages digital tools to enhance patient financial engagement and transparency.
Leadership and People Development
  • Leads, mentors, and develops leaders and teams across the revenue cycle division, ensuring efficient operations and promoting performance excellence.
  • Leads and directs major corporate functions related to the revenue cycle across Billings Clinic – Logan Health.
  • Interacts internally and externally with executive-level management, negotiating extremely critical matters and system-level initiatives.
  • Identifies, mentors, and develops future leaders within the organization, ensuring leadership continuity and succession planning.
  • Builds a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture grounded in accountability and service excellence.
Patient and Community Stewardship

Professional Experience/Qualifications/Traits
Successful candidates for the System Vice President Revenue Cycle role will possess the following:
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive and effective leadership experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, including multi-entity or regional systems.
  • Experience leading integration across multi-entity or regional healthcare systems is strongly preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations, reimbursement methodologies, payer contracting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Advanced knowledge of EHR functionality and financial/revenue cycle integration; Oracle Health experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare finance, budgeting, forecasting, and analytics.
  • Knowledge of national and regional market trends affecting healthcare reimbursement.
  • Familiarity with audit processes, internal controls, and risk management.
  • Strategic and conceptual thinking, with the ability to navigate complex, systemwide issues.
  • Strong financial acumen and data interpretation skills for decision-making.

Education/Credentials
  • A bachelor’s degree is required. An advanced degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field is strongly preferred.
  • CRCE, Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent performance improvement certification preferred.
