The Position

IPG Photonics is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our team as the Vice President, Global Services. This newly created role is pivotal to the future success of our organization and offers a unique opportunity to lead and transform our Global Services organization into a world-class operation.

As Vice President, you will be responsible for the overall operation, growth, profitability, and P&L accountability of the Service Business. You will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of our services, driving incremental revenue growth, margin expansion, and improved customer satisfaction through innovative service offerings and operational excellence.

In this role, you will work closely with the Executive Team, Functional and Regional Leaders, and Product Line Management to design and execute a portfolio of high-impact initiatives. These initiatives aim to deliver world-class service capabilities, enhance operational productivity, and uphold IPG’s rigorous quality standards, ensuring differentiation in a competitive market.

Experience and Professional Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or technology operations is desirable, with an MBA preferred. At least 15 years of experience leading service teams at various levels, specifically within the high-technology manufacturing industry.
• Over 10 years of experience in a Service Operational Management role or internal business function, leading initiative teams in operations and transformation project work.
• Extensive global services experience in medium to large industrial or technology organizations, particularly those specializing in laser manufacturing.
• Exceptional skills in operations, business management, and team leadership, with a history of driving efficiencies and achieving financial goals.
• Strong executive presence with exceptional communication skills and the ability to build diverse relationships internally and externally.
