Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting (120–480V, 3-phase, control panels) is highly preferred, and will give you a huge advantage over other candidates!
Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Field Service Technician in Cranbury NJ (NE Trenton area.) Compensation: $32.00/hour + OT (also includes use of a company F-150 truck + Per Diem)
What You Will Do:
- Responsible for maintaining and repairing stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries.
- Diagnose the cause of equipment malfunction or failure; disassemble, repair and reassemble components and units.
- Adjust and calibrate equipment to operating specifications.
- Uncrate, assemble and install new units as required and according to specifications.
- Sell Assured Preventive Maintenance Programs to clients as well as service and repair parts, compounds, and chemicals.
Education and Work Experience:
- Must have at least 4 years of US Military experience (technical MOS required)
- Veterans from tech MOSs (EMs, MMs, GSEs, UTs, AE, ATs, 3E0X1, 91B/H, 15F/Y) preferred
- Boiler experience preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting (120–480V, 3-phase, control panels) highly preferred.
- Field service or industrial maintenance techs who can think on their feet.
- Gear Provided: F-150 truck (must have clean MVR) + tools + credit card.
- Working Environment: Field-based, independent work, high client interaction.
- Military Team Culture: Strong—most techs and leadership are vets.
