Reporting to the Council, the Chief Executive leads the overall management of the Secretariat and oversees its effective operation and efficient execution of its duties and responsibilities. He/she is responsible for assisting all Committees, Panels, Working Groups, Task Forces and the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries Foundation Limited in the development of their policies and programmes; and ensuring that adequate Secretariat support is provided. The Chief Executive acts as the key point of contact between HKICS and relevant government bureaux, regulators, other affiliated bodies and similar professional bodies; and supports the work of such bodies in accordance with Council’s direction.
The successful candidate should be a university degree holder in related field; a member of HKICS is preferred. He/she should possess at least 15 years of professional and management experience in corporate governance, compliance and secretarial sectors; proven record of leadership and management skills. Excellent command of spoken and written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua are required.
