Korn Ferry is recruiting on behalf of a national lender for multi-family properties and commercial real estate, to hire a securitization attorney with at least 3-6 years of experience, who will report to the General Counsel. This position will be located in NYC. It is essential for this lawyer to have experience with warehouse and repurchase facilities, either working at a law firm and/or as in-house counsel.

The ideal attorney will be a vital part of the Legal Department, providing legal advice relating to business activities and securitization functions.

This hire will have at least 3-6 years of experience, and will be:

• Providing legal support for the Company’s mortgage warehouse and repurchase facilities and its secured and unsecured credit facilities, and the Company’s treasury function generally

• Working on CRE commercial loan obligation securitizations (and similar vehicles)

• Providing legal advice and consultation to the treasury and securitization functions in connection with daily operational matters, such as loan transfer and compliance issues

• Providing guidance and advice to various business units within the Company

• Managing internal business relationships

• General corporate compliance and legal assistance, including but not limited to drafting and review of contracts, including those related to the Company’s joint ventures

• A bachelor's degree and J.D. are required with strong academic credentials from an accredited law school

• Minimum 3-6 years of experience with commercial finance transactions and mortgage warehouse facilities

• Commercial loan securitization and CMBS experience a plus

• Law firm and or in-house counsel experience will be considered

• Strong writing and communications skills and a demonstrated ability to work well with executive staff

• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and to multi-task efficiently based on the nature of the transaction and the jurisdiction

• Other in-house corporate experience a plus, including corporate governance, treasury, corporate finance, and contract administration

Compensation: Base salary: $250,000-$275,000 annually, depending on level of experience
