About the Company
Our client is building a next-generation enterprise software platform designed to support complex workflows, data management, and transaction processing at scale.
They are seeking a Principal AI Architect with deep hands-on software engineering experience and a strong track record of applying modern AI/ML and agent-based techniques within production systems.
This is an individual contributor-first role focused on building and deploying real systems. Success will be measured by delivering high-quality, production-ready software not strategy alone.
You will partner closely with senior leadership and engineering teams to shape the technical foundation of a growing platform, with a path toward broader technology leadership over time.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Build Core Systems
• Architect, develop, and deploy scalable, production-grade systems
• Apply AI/ML and agent-based approaches where they drive meaningful impact
• Own end-to-end technical delivery (design → deployment → operation)
Drive Architecture & Engineering Standards
• Partner with engineering teams to define application and platform architecture
• Establish scalable design patterns and best practices
• Ensure long-term maintainability and system performance
Enterprise Readiness & Reliability
• Design systems with strong focus on security, scalability, and resilience
• Ensure systems are observable, cost-efficient, and production-ready
• Collaborate cross-functionally to meet enterprise-grade expectations
Operationalize AI in Real Workflows
• Integrate AI capabilities into business processes and software systems
• Define guardrails, failure modes, and decision frameworks
• Continuously optimize performance, cost, and reliability
Technical Leadership
• Act as a senior technical advisor to leadership
• Communicate architectural decisions and tradeoffs to diverse stakeholders
• Help lay the groundwork for future technical strategy and team growth
What We’re Looking For:
Core Engineering Experience
• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience
• Deep expertise in system design, data modeling, and distributed systems
• Strong experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
Architecture & Modern Development
• Extensive experience designing large-scale, business-critical platforms
• Strong familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS or similar)
• Experience with modern development practices and tooling
• Exposure to front-end frameworks, scripting, and automation
AI & Applied Innovation
• Experience deploying AI/ML or LLM-based solutions in production
• Familiarity with emerging agent-based architectures and tooling
• Pragmatic mindset applies AI where it adds real value
Collaboration & Leadership
• Experience working with senior business and technical stakeholders
• Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence decisions
Why This Role?:
• Opportunity to build a core enterprise platform from the ground up
• Apply modern AI in practical, production-driven ways
• Operate with high ownership and autonomy
• Make foundational technical decisions that shape long-term growth
