Compensation: USD 165,000.00 - 210,000.00 Yearly - Compensation range is $165,000 to $185,000 plus a targeted annual 20% bonus

THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Head of Government Relations, the Political Director will manage the company’s political strategy, government relations, and fundraising efforts. The Political Director plays a strategic leadership role in the company’s interactions with political campaigns, advocacy organizations, trade associations, and government agencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with the Political Action Committee (“PAC”) team to implement fundraising campaigns to meet the companies fundraising goals
• Work to manage relationships with political allies, elected officials, trade associations, and key external stakeholders
• Advise senior executives on political contributions and engagement strategies and political risks and opportunities
• Represent the organization in different political settings and with the media, including giving speeches and attending political events
• Develop and execute political strategies, build relationships, and guide the political direction of the organization at the local, state, and federal levels
• Monitor and analyze legislation, regulations, and political developments that impact the company
• Supporting advocacy campaigns and voter engagement programs
• Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations on political developments and their potential impact
• Help protect and enhance the company’s reputation through strategic political engagement

QUALIFICATIONS
• Extensive government affairs, public policy, political campaigns, or lobbying experience.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to advocate effectively.
• Strategic planning and execution skills for long- and short-term political goals.
• Demonstrated history of building political relationships with elected officials, community leaders, and stakeholders.
• Leadership and team management, including coaching and delegation.
• Analytical skills, including data interpretation and political landscape analysis.
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
• A thorough understanding of the political process.
• Agility and strong decision-making skills with a solid foundation of analytical and strategic thinking.
• Ability to write efficiently for a c-suite audience, under tight deadlines.
• A clear reputation for ethical conduct.
• Proven self-starter, results oriented with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills in written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.
