Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for a Controller.

Role Summary:
• Lead and manage finance and accounting operations, including general accounting, cost accounting, payroll, AR/AP, fixed assets, and month-end close
• Oversee preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance
• Partner with senior leadership on capital expenditures, supplier negotiations, and contract/MSA reviews
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning to support growth and expansion strategy
• Manage audits and external reporting requirements
• Build, coach, and mentor accounting/finance staff, setting goals and performance metrics
• Collaborate across departments to align financial processes with company operations and strategy

Team Structure:
• Member of the Executive Team
• Direct reports across accounting and finance staff
• Interfaces with CEO, CFO, General Manager, and plant leadership

Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA highly preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with 5+ years as Controller
• Manufacturing or chemical industry background required; forest products or biomass experience strongly preferred
• Proven expertise in general and cost accounting, financial reporting, and systems/process improvement
• Strong leadership, team-building, and change-management skills
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable in both strategic and hands-on capacities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and ERP/accounting systems

Compensation & Benefits:
• Base Salary: $110k-$120K (flexible depending on candidate), competitive benefits and PTO
• Bonus: $20K annual target, with great flexibility to adjust based on performance/impact
• Relocation support up to $30K (lump sum, depending on candidate circumstances)
• Executive-level seat on leadership team with direct visibility to CEO and CFO
• Flexibility on hybrid/remote work after initial onboarding
