Organized as Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co. Employees' Credit Union in 1928 to serve the financial needs of Shipyard employees and their families, BayPort Credit Union now serves as a community-chartered credit union for the greater Hampton Roads area. Throughout BayPort Credit Union's history, they have played a significant role in the growth, security, and well-being of the Virginia peninsula and the surrounding community.
Responsible for establishing and executing the Company’s major goals and objectives. Responsible for Company profits and losses. Interprets and implements Board of Directors’ policies. Provides leadership, direction, and guidance of Company activities. Manages, analyzes, and evaluates the effectiveness of all operations. Develops and maintains effective organizational structure and personnel. Coordinates major activities through subordinates. Represents the Company to members, regulatory agencies, and community organizations.
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Required Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of the industry, including production, research and development, sales, and required support activities. Basic knowledge of business support functions including human resources, information technology, accounting, and finance.
