Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (Children’s) is seeking a visionary and collaborative leader with a strong financial administration foundation to serve as Vice President, Corporate Finance.

The Vice President, Corporate Finance leads, directs, and plans activities of the Corporate Finance Department to provide meaningful and timely information to Children’s leadership that supports them in decision-making. The Vice President ensures Children’s is compliant with all federal, state, and local regulations and is responsible for ensuring internal financial controls operate as intended to safeguard and protect Children’s assets. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President, Corporate Finance leads 75 finance professionals including directors and teams for accounts payable, treasury, cash, reporting, payroll, grants and reimbursement. Key responsibilities for this leader include leading timely and accurate financial information processes, controls and reconciliations, developing financial reports, surveys and statements, managing ongoing relationships with external auditors and tax advisors, and providing financial and analytical support to systemwide strategic initiatives such as joint ventures, planning, construction and acquisitions. This individual will also manage ongoing relationships with financial institution partners and closely collaborate with the organization’s Investment Office for appropriate transfer of funds, reporting of investment activity and accounting of earnings and other associated financial reporting.

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is a $2 billion pediatric system delivering care across three hospitals, 19 neighborhood locations and 13 telemedicine sites across the state of Georgia. The system manages more than 1.2 million patient visits each year from 444,000 unique patients and partners with more than 2,000 pediatric physicians and 11,000 staff to provide care. Children’s is routinely ranked one of the best pediatric healthcare systems in the United States and has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for quality and safety, as well as Magnet recognition for nursing excellence. In preparation for the next chapter, the team at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta has begun construction on a new hospital campus opening this September 2024. The Arthur M. Blank Hospital will have 446 beds and be a full-service facility for inpatient medical care.

The ideal candidate is something who has strong technical accounting and finance leadership experience, as well as the ability to lead and influence high-performing teams across a matrixed organization. An individual with academic healthcare / health system experience is preferred, as is an excellent communicator, strong coach, and natural collaborator with peers, business and operations leaders, team members and senior executives. A Certified Public Accountant (current or former) is highly preferred.
