Korn Ferry has partnered with an established, international Compounding Pharmaceutical company on its search for a Vice President of Compliance, reporting to the Chief Legal Officer/General Counsel. The company is a licensed manufacturer, outsourcing facility, wholesaler, and compounding pharmacy.
To be considered, you must have relevant current or recent (last 3 years) experience in a compounding pharmacy company. You must also have knowledge of 503B and 503A and be able to describe specific knowledge and experience in prior roles.
Primary Responsibilities (all relative to compounding pharmacies or closely related):
• Create, implement, manage, audit and update, as regulations change, a company and facility wide integrated compliance program, ensuring it meets the needs of vendors and clinics; assist in the development and implementation of compliance program company training, including ensuring the Board and its Committees are informed on compliance matters
• Create, implement, manage, audit and update, as regulations change, policies and procedures to comply with state, federal and international statues, rules, and/or regulations applicable to pharmacies such as FDA, DEA, OSHA, HIPAA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and/or other appropriate agencies
• Facilitate and participate in regulatory inspections and audits; manage inquiry responses; address alleged violations; assist in investigations and ensure proper reporting of violations to authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate or required
• Establish, chair, and facilitate internal a compliance committee, meetings, maintain agendas and manage development and execution of projects and action items, including periodically evaluation of compliance program and any alleged violations
• Monitor, review and interpret state, federal and international legislative landscape to remain informed on proposed laws and regulations related to compounding pharmacies
• Regularly provide updates to company and board on alleged violations, necessary actions to prevent further violations, proposed laws, rules, and/or regulations
• Represent company at government and regulatory hearings, proceedings, and conferences
• Supervise 5+ direct reports
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; JD from accredited law school preferred
Experience: Minimum 5+ years related experience in a compliance function; pharmaceutical industry/life science, including with FDA, experience required
