Korn Ferry Professional Search has partnered with our client on their search for a Corporate Controller. This role reports to the CFO. This position can be based in Houston, TX or Arlington, TX.

Opportunity Highlights:
• This is a key hire for a highly acquisitive PE-backed organization with ~500MM in annual revenues
• Opportunity to put your stamp on the position as you lead the development of processes and procedures
• The Controller will drive impactful projects including an ERP implementation/conversion
• Flexible, remote/hybrid schedule
Scope of Responsibilities:
• Creates and implements policies and procedures to help scale the accounting function to streamline processes and ensure compliance.
• Assists with M&A due diligence, purchase accounting and post-close integration
• Prepare financial statements
• Lead month end close
• Reviews job cost, revenue recognition
• Ensures the effectiveness of internal controls and maintains the integrity of accounting records
• Support implementation of ERP system from accounting/finance perspective
• Coordinates external audit
• Perform other duties as assigned
Skills Needed:
• Strong financial systems expertise
• Demonstrated ability in leading and building an accounting function from the ground-up, including recruitment, development, and retention of top industry talent
• Proven ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
• Experience in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and initiatives
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills
• Successful experience working in fast-paced high growth environment
Educational & Work Requirements:
• Degree: Bachelors in Accounting; Masters preferred. CPA is required
• Work Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience, a background in public accounting is preferred. Previous experience in job cost setting is required.
