Yarra Valley Water, a Victorian Government owned corporation, is one of Australia's largest water utilities. It delivers essential water and sewerage services to over 2m people and 62,000 businesses daily, managing a $6.3 billon asset portfolio. This includes over 20,000km of water and sewer mains, and over 800km of recycled water mains across a 4,000sq km service area. They are committed to delivering safe, reliable, affordable and environmentally responsible water and sewerage services with a focus on risk and climate for current and future generations.

The corporation is seeking to appoint its next Managing Director, reporting to the Chair and Board of Directors, to lead Yarra Valley Water’s operations, while fostering a constructive culture that is inclusive and purpose-led. This role requires a strong focus on setting the strategic agenda with the Board, working collaboratively with the Victorian Government shareholder and engaging diverse stakeholders to provide services and resources that support community needs and meet regulatory and commercial requirements.

You are a purpose-driven and inspirational leader with significant experience delivering essential services in a regulated, asset intensive industry, ideally in water or a similar sector. You bring a proven track record of leading large, customer-focused organisations and have a clear understanding of operating within a public sector environment. With demonstrated financial acumen, you are passionate about public health, environmental sustainability and intergenerational equity.
