Shape the Built Environment at the Heart of the Melbourne Arts Precinct
This is a rare opportunity to lead the stewardship, renewal and performance of one of Australia’s most complex and iconic cultural precinct assets. As Executive Director, Assets and Environment, you will shape the physical environment that enables artistic excellence, public access and operational performance at Arts Centre Melbourne.
Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the Executive Team, you will hold enterprise accountability for asset management, infrastructure, capital works, facilities operations, precinct interface and environmental sustainability. You will play a central role in major renewal and redevelopment initiatives within the Melbourne Arts Precinct, ensuring assets are safe, resilient, financially sustainable and aligned to long term strategic objectives.

The Opportunity
As Executive Director, Assets and Environment, you will:
• Lead long term asset strategy, capital planning and facilities management across a complex performing arts environment.
• Oversee capital works, maintenance and infrastructure renewal programs.
• Strengthen asset governance, compliance and risk management frameworks.
• Partner across the Melbourne Arts Precinct on planning, delivery and integration.
• Build a high performing team culture grounded in accountability, safety and service excellence.
What We’re Looking For
• Extensive senior executive experience in asset intensive, infrastructure or complex facilities environments.
• Proven leadership of capital programs, asset lifecycle management and operational estates.
• Strong governance and risk capability within government or similarly regulated contexts.
• Executive credibility with Boards, government stakeholders, contractors and delivery partners.
• Strategic, disciplined leadership with the ability to operate confidently in complexity and public accountability environments.
