Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for the role, SVP, Commercial Loan Servicing Operations.

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Vice President of Commercial Loan Documentation and Servicing. The successful candidate will oversee the documentation and servicing commercial loans primarily, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This senior role requires a visionary leader with exceptional organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Leadership:

Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Commercial Loan Documentation and Servicing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement long-term strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of loan documentation and servicing processes.
Serve as a key member of the senior management team, contributing to the overall strategic planning and decision-making process.

Loan Documentation:

Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of complex commercial loan documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with senior legal, credit, and underwriting executives to resolve high-level documentation issues and discrepancies.
Stay abreast of industry regulations and best practices, ensuring the organization remains compliant and competitive.


Loan Servicing:

Lead the servicing of commercial loans, including payment processing, account maintenance, and customer inquiries, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of loan performance and portfolio metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
Implement and monitor robust internal controls to mitigate risks associated with loan servicing.


Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement:

Identify and drive strategic initiatives to improve processes, leveraging technology and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures and best practices.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.


Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, proactively addressing potential risks.
Conduct regular audits and reviews, implementing corrective actions, as necessary.
Collaborate with the compliance team to develop and execute risk mitigation strategies.
Provide, present and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.


Experience and Professional Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in commercial loan documentation and servicing, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
Deep knowledge of commercial lending regulations and industry best practices.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of managing and developing large teams.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in loan servicing core banking platforms, loan documentation software and Microsoft Office Suite.


Compensation

$190k - $215k base plus bonuses and additional flexibility on the base for the right candidate.
