THE OPPORTUNITY
MultiCare, a dynamic integrated healthcare delivery system in the Pacific Northwest, recognizes its greatest asset is its people. The organization also recognizes caring for others as a calling and strongly believes in the importance of empowering individuals to grow, develop unique talents, and contribute their best to something bigger than themselves, which is rooted in their deep mission of partnering for healing and a healthy future.
Through this lens, MultiCare is seeking a purpose-driven Senior Vice President - Chief Human Potential Officer (CHRO equivalent) to lead human capital strategies and operations focused on developing the organization’s workforce by fostering a thriving, creative, and high-performing culture. This role is pivotal in driving the organization forward, reinforcing its values-driven culture and deep commitment to patient care.
With more than 23,000 team members and a network of 13 hospitals, MultiCare ($7B net revenues) has grown from a Tacoma-centric, hospital-based organization into the largest, not-for-profit, community-based, and locally governed health system in the state of Washington. MultiCare is on a fast growth trajectory with the goal of serving one third of the population in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Alaska by 2026 through a combination of direct service provision or in partnership with others. To fulfill that goal, MultiCare has been embarking on market expansion, improving access to care and services through a variety of vehicles, a performance excellence program and population health strategy.
MultiCare understands the importance of aligning human capital strategies with overall business imperatives to ensure people are positioned for success to achieve the organization’s mission. This is an exceptional opportunity for a creative, mission-oriented, and experienced HR executive to lead this function within a nationally recognized healthcare system with a distinguished history of community purpose. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive functional HR experience, coupled with a strong disposition toward unlocking and nurturing the unique talents and growth of every employee.
MultiCare has been a long-time community pillar by bringing the best in clinical research and patient outcomes anchored by a people-centric culture that encourages creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning, where people feel empowered and inspired to contribute.
Reporting to the President, the Chief Human Potential Officer will set the vision for a strategic, transparent, and customer-service-oriented Human Resources function.
