Korn Ferry is partnering with our client on their search for a Senior Tax Analyst – State & Local Income Tax (SALT).

Role Summary:
• Title: Senior Tax Analyst – State & Local Income Tax (SALT)
• Team Structure: Reports to the Director of Indirect Tax within the Corporate Tax Department
• Primary Scope: State and local income/franchise tax compliance, tax provision support, audit and notice response, and multistate apportionment
• Broader Exposure: Opportunity to gain experience in international direct and indirect taxation in a high-growth, fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review state and local income/franchise tax returns and estimated payments across multiple jurisdictions
• Assist with quarterly and annual tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740
• Maintain and analyze apportionment data (property, payroll, sales) for multistate reporting
• Respond to tax notices and support state audits and inquiries
• Conduct technical research and write memos on SALT-related matters
• Partner with internal departments (Accounting, Finance, Operations) to validate tax data
• Support tax strategy for new operations and geographic expansion
• Participate in process improvements and tax automation projects
• Gain exposure to international tax projects under mentorship

Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMI a plus)
• 3+ years of experience in SALT compliance and provision, preferably in public or corporate settings
• Familiarity with construction, manufacturing, or infrastructure sectors is a strong plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
• Understanding of multistate apportionment and state tax rules
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Motivated to develop international tax skills within a dynamic environment

Compensation & Benefits:
• Salary Range: $78K–$100K base, plus annual bonus potential
